Running From the Law....School
We are the Roger Williams School of Law Running Club, Runners for Justice. We are slowly making a name for ourselves as being the coolest kids in the school, thanks mainly to tooting our own horns and spreading half-truths about how well we finish in local road races. If you have any deep, suppressed desire to run around RI, please join us. We are a running group diverse with runners of ALL levels. Seriously, some of us can only run from the parking lot to their cubby-bunker in the library.

FIRST TRAINING RUN OF THE SEMESTER
Summer is almost over, and that means: It's time to start training! This Friday, Heather Clickner and I (John Stickney) will be leading the first training run of the semester. We're going to meet in front of the law school building at 3:15. Join us, and bring a buddy if you can. We'll be discussing future, weekly runs that will be going on throughout the semester. Let's start this semester right!
We have less than three weeks until our first event!!

UP COMING RACES
ATTENTION ALL RUNNERS FOR JUSTICE MEMBERS (and potential new members),
Today is orientation, so that means it is the beginning of a new school year. This year is full of AWESOME procrastination opportunities. There is no shortage of good races in New England this semester, but our first major team race will be the CVS 5k in Downtown Providence. This is a team event, so when you register at the website (http://www.cvsdowntown5k.com/register/register.php), register as a team member (as opposed to an individual).
Team name: Runners for Justice
Password: rwulaw
They take the top three finishers from each team to determine the team's time. The top team will receive millions of dollars worth of bragging rights, so let's try to have a great showing!!!
I will be posting the rest of the races we have planned shortly, so keep your eyes open for that.
Also, we will be posting training schedules, as well.
Happy first week back!!

Cape K9 Cardio Trail Run
So, who doesn't love a good trail run? Right?! They are cool, tough, and scenic. Well, this race was no exception...although maybe not properly marked. Heather Clickner (Rising 2L and bib number 25 in the picture) and I (bib 23, like Mike Jordan, but twice as fast) finished this race at the top of our groups. Our times may or may not reflect that statement. It was such a fun race, though, because those dogs were crazy! They were more competitive runners than most of the humans (well, not more competitive than us). If you want to see all of the pictures from the race, go to this website: http://www.k95k.com/.
